The Yavapai Carry

Handcrafted black deerskin hide leather. Super soft texture + truly a unique + special carry all bag.

The flap is made from the raw edge of a natural tanned hide. I whipped stitched and hand braided the body front, pocket, shoulder guard, back pocket and straps. Long hand cut fringe trail the sides and front flap. The exterior flap features a beautiful cabochon with slightly greenish blue turquoise in a black matrix from the Newlanders Mine in Nevada. Seed beading and hand braiding outlines and frames the cabochon. The fringe is adorned with African silver trade beads and another piece of Nevada turquoise nugget to the front flap fringe. The straps are four braided and attach securely to a hand braided shoulder guard for comfort. A silver and turquoise bead was added to the guard. 

There is no lining and no interior pockets, reminiscent of carry all bags made historicaly.
